What is creamed honey? Honey is a liquid that is super-saturated solution. The amount of sugar the bees can pack into to honey is amazing. This causes the honey to crystallize over time. We control that process to make creamed honey. This requires no other additives. We start with our same pure, raw honey, and add your favorite flavor. After we infuse the flavor, we add seed honey that has the crystal size we desire. This crystal size gives us the smooth creamy texture of our creamed honey. After adding the seed honey, we us a temperature controlled chamber to set, allow all the crystals to be the same size. This process is tried and true, producing a honey that is smooth and spreadable at room temperature. Creamed honey does not need to be refrigerated but you do need to keep it away from heat. Temperatures greater than 90 degrees Fahrenheit can cause the creamed honey to decrystallize.
We will gladly ship creamed honey from October to May. From May to September, we cannot control shipping temperatures that may cause the honey to decrystallize. We do offer porch pick up year-round.
